- Base of primary stems cylindric, up to 70 cm long, upper part flat, 2.5 cm broad, often with reddish tinge. Base of secundary stems cylindric, 1-8 cm long, 1.5 cm br, lanceolate to lineair, bluntly crenated. Areoles 1-2.5 cm apart, naked. Flower 0.7-1.2 cm long, yellowish white with pink or green hue. Receptacle 4-5 mm long, ±3 mm diameter, pink or green. Petals blunt, 3-6 mm long, cream. Stamens cream, anthers red. Pistil cream. Fruit round, 4-8 mm long and wide, white. Seed oval to kindney-shaped, 1.4x1 mm, black.
