Type: A. flagelliformis (L)Lem
- Pendant or creeping, stems long and slender, with aerial roots. Ribs 7-13. Areoles small. Spines rather short. Flower narrow funnelform, zygomorphic, red to purple-pink. Ovary and receptacle with small scales and spines or bristles. Receptacle bend. Stigmas white or yellowish. Fruit globose, small, reddish, with spines. Seed red-brown, obovoid.
- Mexico: Oaxaca, Hidalgo, Veracruz, Puebla, Potosí.
