- Basally branching, 1 m and longer. Stems rather thin and flaccid, 4-5 cm br, serrate, thick midribs, fresh green. Lower 2-3 cm of the stems cylindric, terminal stems 20 cm long. Areoles very small, with little felt, and a small red scale. Flower 2.5 cm long. Ovary carmine, 1 cm long, 0.5 cm diameter, with 4-6 small, blunt, fleshy scales. Receptacle 8 mm long. Outer petals pink. Inner petals white.
