- More or less hanging, up to 80 cm and longer. Stems flat, at the base somewhat four-angled, first upright, later hanging, up to 30 cm or longer, 1,2-1,5 cm broad, irregularly crenated with intervals of 1,5-3 cm, midrib up to 3 mm thick, dark green. Areoles with whitish felt, depending on habitat. Sometimes 1-2 spines in the lower areoles. Flower 1,5 cm long, 0,7-1 cm broad, white, yellow when wilting, bell-shaped. Receptacle not sunken, 3-4 mm long, yellow-green to red-orange. Outer petals light yellow, reddish orange or purplish pink. Inner petals yellowish, tip with yellow, orange or purplish tinge. White forms are also known. Stamens light yellow, shorter than the pistil. Pistil white. Fruit 6.7 mm diameter, purplish pink. Seed 1,8x1x0,8 mm.
