- Initially upright, later hanging, green. Main stem 1,2 cm diameter. Stems flat or three- to four-angled, deeply crenated, with sharp edges. Areoles 2,5-4 cm apart, with a small scale of 1 mm long. Spines 1-4, yellow-brown, of which two thinner ones curving and 4-5 mm long, the two others straight recht and 7-10 mm long. Flower apical, up to 2 cm long, cream-white with reddish hue. Receptacle five-angled, 6-7 mm long, upper part with pointed scales and short spines. Stamens yellow. Pistil cream. Fruit 8 mm long, 10 mm diameter, greenish brown-yellow. Seed with very oblique hilum, 1,8x1x0,5 mm, dark red-brown.
