- At first upright, later creeping to hanging. Stems mostly triangled, up to 1 m long, 1,5-2 cm diameter. Areoles 1-2 cm apart, with short white felt. Central spines 3-5, up to 7 mm long, whitish. Periferal spines up to 10, soft. Flower ±1,5 cm long, 3-4 cm diameter, orange. Ovary with bristly spines. Stamens whitish. Pistil white. Fruit ±1 cm diameter, whitish, with ±10 soft spines. Seed 1,7 mm long, 1 mm broad.
