- Stems flat, strongly crenated, base cilindric, 1.5 cm diameter, the flat
part 10-15 cm broad. Areoles immersed, woolly, with tiny scales. Spines 0, on
the cilindric parts 1-3 short, needlelike spines. Flower more or less
funnelform, 6-7 cm long, white. Areoles on ovary close together. Spines up to
4 mm long. Receptacle above ovary slightly bent, scales with wool. Outer
petals brown green, fleshy. Inner petals white. Filaments creame white.
Pistil cream. Fruit oval, red, with thin spines. Pulpa white.
