- Hanging, irregularly branched. Stems 1-1.5 cm diameter, three- or four- angled or flat. Areoles on podaria, 3-4 cm apart, woolly, white, later yellow. Spines 6, later 20, radiating, 3(-8) mm long, base thickened, cream, later brownish en mostly dehiscent. Flower campanulate-funnelformed, 6-7 cm long, 2.5-4 cm diameter, strongly scented. Ovary 1-1.5 cm long, 1-1.2 cm diameter, brown-purple, with amber-brown scales which are 1-2 mm long and wide, 4-12 white hairlike spines which are ±5 mm long, and white wool. Receptacle ±2.5 cm long, knobby, with brown spines, getting more scanty towards the upper part. Outer petals amber-pink. Inner petals pink. Filaments cream, anthers yellow. Style pink cream, stigma's cream. Fruit 4.5 cm long, 3.5 cm diameter, pale pink, shiny, areoles with bristles, spines and wool. Seed 1.5 2x1.25x1 mm, black.
