- to 3 m long, stems usually short, 4-5 cm wide, crenations widely apart, green. Flower 15-18 cm long, 12 cm diameter. Ovary with very small scales, 12 cm diameter. Receptacle 10-15 cm long, thin, reddish, with some scales, widely apart. Outer petals pink to yellowish. Inner petals white, 5-7 cm long. Filaments in one row, white. Style pink to white, stigtmas yellow. Fruit oblong, 7-8 cm long, 3 cm diameter, red, pulpa white. Flower size and colour of the stigmas are variable.
