- Stems incised up till the midrib, up to 30 cm broad. Areoles small, some
with 2-3 bristles. Flower 32 cm long. Ovary 2 cm long, with scales of 3-7 mm
long and 2-4 bristles of 2-4 mm long. Receptacle 16 cm long, 1.25 cm
diameter, lower part pale green, upper part pink-purple, scales 0.8-1.2 cm long,
green. Outer petals 0.8-1 cm broad, dirty purple pink, lanceolate, pointed,
white. Inner petals 1.5-2.5 cm broad, lanceolate, pointed. Filaments yellow,
pollen cream. Style cream-white, stigmas cream. Fruit 7 cm diameter,
spiny. Pulpa grey.
