- Stems to 30 cm long, 6-7 cm broad, edge almost straight. Areoles 3-4 cm apart. Ovary and receptacle hairy. Outer petals 9-11 cm long. Stigmas 16-17, white. Fruit angled, also the lower part, 8-9 cm long, 6-7 cm diameter, red, naked, without scales. Seed ovoid, big, black.
