- Plants to 2 m long, 1,5 m wide.Stems 15-45 cm long, 2-5 cm broad. Areoles with wool. Flowers 8 cm long, 6.5 cm diameeter, funnelform, pink. Ovary with some felt and some 1 cm long bristly spines, scales 1 mm long. Receptaculum strongly grooved, 3.5 cm long, 1 cm diameter, upper scales 5 mm long. Perianth with same length as receptacle. Petals partly bend outwards, 3-3.5 cm long. Anthers white. Stigma white, much longer than anthers. Fruit ellipsoid, green, ribbed, 3.5 cm long, 2.8 cm diameter, with pale brown felty areoles, 1-2 mm diameter. Seeds 2.5-3 mm diameter, black.
