- Stems to 1.6 m long, to 7 cm wide, base cilindric. Flower ±6 cm long, funnelform. Ovary 2 cm long, with small scales. Receptacle bend, 2 cm long, green. Outer petals greenish yellow. Inner petals 2 cm wide, lanceolate, carmine to violet-red. Stamens numerous, base red, top white, anthers yellow. Style pink, stigmas white and yellow. Fruit small, broadly globose, dark red. Seed shiny to matt brown-black, 1.75 mm.
