- Stems 4-6 cm diameter, bright green. Ribs 3, with with large tubercles. Areoles very small, at the base of the tubercles, 4-6 cm apart. Spines 2-4, white, bristly. Flower ±35 cm long, funnelform, white, scenting. Receptacle 25 cm long. Outer petals reflexed, green-yellow. Inner petals white. Filaments yellow. Stigma yellow. Fruit unknown.

- Costa Rica: Puerto Limón (T), Cordillera Talamanca, 1700 m and higher.
