- Stems triangled, light green, somewhat glabrous, slightly concave, 2.5-3.5
cm diameter, with aerial roots. Areoles small, 3-4 cm apart, with felt, which
is black at first and later white. Spines 1-3, 1-3 mm long, cream to brown.
Flower 11-14 cm long, 10-15 cm diameter. Receptacle 5-6.5 cm long, green, lower part yellow green. Ovary and receptacle with flat podaria, black brown wool and hairs and white to black
brown spines up to 1 cm long. Outer petals yellow green to dark cream, inner
petals white. Filaments cream, anthers yellow. Style cream, stigmas
yellowish. Fruit 7 cm long, 6.2 cm diameter, light yellow, scented, with wool
and spines. Seed 1.8x1.1x0.8 mm, brown-black.
