- Three-angled, 7 cm diameter, dark green, with strongly wavy edges. Areoles 3 5 cm apart. Spines 1 3, short, 2 4 mm long. Flower up to 30 cm long. Outer petals yellow-green, reflected. Inner petals broad, white. Filaments cream. Style and stigmas cream. Fruit obovoid, up to 12 cm diameter, red. Seed black.

- Originates from Mexico and Central America? Cultivated and run wild in tropical America and Southeast Asia.
