- Strongly branched. Stems green, weakly shining, up to 1.5 cm thick, somtimes with aerial roots. Ribs 6-7, low, with low podaria. Areoles small, 1-2 cm apart. Spines ±12, radiating, needle like, white to yellowish, 5-7 mm long. Flower 20 cm long, white. Ovary and receptacle with felt and white bristles. Outer petals linear, red brown. Filaments white. Pistil white. Fruit reddish, 2.5 cm long, with spines in bushes of 1 cm long.
