- Hanging, 1-2 m long. Stems flat, with wavy edges, oblong or elliptic, with thick midrib, deeply crenated, up to 12 cm long, 7 cm broad, terminal stems ±2 mm thick, yellow-green. Areoles large, with little grey felt and initially with some small bristles. Flowers 1-4 per areole, 1.4 cm long, pale yellow, becoming canary yellow. Stamens white, anthers light yellow. Pistil white. Ovary small, almost round, light green. Fruit globose, white, with a small number of seeds.
- Brazil: Caruaru (Pernambuco), tussen Niterói en Cabo Frio, Silva Jardim, Saquarema, Itacoatiara (Rio de Janeiro), Bahia, São Paulo, Santa Catarina. Epiphytic and terrestric, up to 900 m. Flowering period December. Flowering period August to October, December.
