- Hanging, to 1.5 m long. Stems round, 3-4 mm diameter. Flower protruding through epidermis. Flower 1 cm diameter, carmine. Stamens colourless. Pistil carmine. Fruit 8 mm diameter, not translucent, at first dull red-olive, ripening to tomato red.

- Brazil: Domingos Martins (Espírito Santo). Only known of the type collection.
