- Stems oblong-lanceolate, 8-12 cm long, thin, wedge-shaped at the base, strongly crenated, the protruding part strongly rounded, stems more than 1.5 mm thick. Areoles naked, sometimes with 1-2 small spines. Flower 1-2 per areole, translucent white. Stamens white. Style and stigma whitish. Ovary round, green, without scales. Fruit round, 4 mm diameter, naked, off-white. Seed red-brown.

- Bolivia: Yungas of La Paz and Cochabamba, Peru. In rainforest, 700-1700 m. Flowering period June.
