- Primary segments up to 14 cm long, secondary segments elongated-spatulate, 5-17 cm long, thin, blunt, wedge-shaped at the base, deeply incised, the protruding part strongly rounded, segments more than 1.5 mm thick, dark green. Areoles glabrous, sometimes with 1-2 spines. Flowers 1-2 per areole, 0.8 cm in diameter, translucent white. Stamens white. Style and stigma whitish. Ovary round, green, without scales. Fruit round, 4 mm in diameter, glabrous, off-white. Seed reddish brown.
- Bolivia: Yungas of La Paz and Cochabamba, Peru. In rainforest, 700-1700 m.
