- 3 m long, stems cylindric. Primary stems up to 2 m long, 3 mm diameter, secundary stems much shorter, green, flowering stems 1.5 mm diameter. Flower terminal, bell-shaped, 1.5 cm long, 1.2 cm broad. Stamens with yellow base. Fruit flattened globose, 6 mm diameter, purple to translucent greenish and brown. Only flowering at a length of more than 2 m. Flowering period July to September.

- Brazil: São Paulo, Minas Gerais, EspĂ­rito Santo. Deciduous forest, 700-1600 m.
