- Pendant, grey-green, 3-6 m long. Stems 7-20 cm long, branched in whorls of 2-5. Stems 4-6 mm diameter, round. Areoles with small scales, 4-8 cm apart, naked. Flowers somewhat fragrant, 0.8-1 cm long, 2 cm diameter, flower bud yellow. Ovary sunken, reversed cone-shaped, 1.5 mm long, greenish, lower part red, without scales. Outer petals yellow. Inner petals 1-1.2 cm long, 4-6 mm broad, spatulate, white with yellow tip. Stamens white, anthers very small. Pistil white. Fruit globose, 5 mm diameter, whitish, lower part purple. Seed 1.5x0.7, black.
