- Epilitic. More or less hanging, 30-100 cm long. Stems sharply three- to four-angled, hardly crenate, green, 4-10 cm long, up to 1.7 cm diameter. Sometimes with aerial roots. Areoles with felt, tiny scales and 2-3 short spines. Flowers white, ±2 cm diameter. Fruit up to 7x10 mm, at first olive-green, later translucent pink.
- Brazil: Baía de Guanabara, Niteroi (Rio de Janeiro), Domingos Martins (Espírito Santo). Epilitic on inselbergen, up to 900 m.
