- Pendant, up to 2 m long, olive to yellow-green. Stems flat, crenate to lobed, 12.5-27 cm long. Areoles 2-5.5 cm apart. Flowers 1.3-1.6 cm diameter, greenish or pinkish. Fruit ellipsoid, at the base whitish, at the top dark red.
- Brazil: Mun. Parque Nacional Serra dos Órgãos, Teresópolis (Rio de Janeiro), camino para campo das Antas, 1600-1800 m, Serra da Mantiqueira, São Paulo. Flowering period August to September.
