- Branched shrub, up to 40 cm long. Main stem ±1 cm diameter. Stems dichotomic branching or in whorls of 2-3, 7-12 cm long, 0.6-1.5 cm diameter, dark green, with three to seven ribs, with slightly twisted or winged edges. Areoles 4 cm apart, at first with fine hairs. Flower lateral, 7-8 mm long, creamy white. Filaments white. Fruit translucent white, tip pinkish red.
