- Pendent to 1m or more, flattened, ±15 cm long, ±4.5 cm broad, ± 1 mm thick, dark green. Areoles ±2.5 cm apart, without spines. Flowers ±8-10 mm diameter, 1-2(-3) per areole, with 5 perianth-segments. The stigmas exsert from the almost closed flower at the start of anthesis. Pericarpel 2x2mm, deep wine red. Outermost perianth-segments deep red, innermost yellowish pink. Stamens few, white. Style reddish to pink, stigmas whitish or pink. Fruit 5-6mm diameter, magenta-pink to deep red. Seeds ±1.2x0.5-0.6mm, blackish, shiny.
Self-compatible. Flowering period May.
